Table Mountain

Table Mountain view from Water Front. The flat top of the mountain is often covered in clouds, formed when a south east wind is directed up the mountain slopes into cooler air, where the moisture condenses to form the so-called "table cloth of cloud. Legend attributes this phenomenon to a smoking contest between the devil and a local pirate called Van Hunks. when the table cloth is seen, it symbolizes the contest.

We watched the clouds come over  having dinner one night at the water front. Now lets get to the top of the mountain.
This is the cable car we took to the top of the mountain. No I did not look back or down just up and at my feet.
Here we are at the top of the mountain. Of course they have a cafe, restaurant and of course a gift shop.

Our Trip to Cape Town South Africa

Hannah loved the little Nemo fish, she went back about 3x to check them out

Hailey loved the King penguins

We watch feeding time for the south African penguins

Hannah is as tall as an emperor penguin
I loved this saying
We took a little break for lunch and some ice cream and then back for shark feeding time. The kids thought it was pretty cool

I loved this fish not sure what kind he is but we called him the grumpy fish.

This sea turtle was awesome. while the divers were feeding the sharks and sting rays she was in there faces waiting for her turn. They even said she was on a diet. Because she was always around the divers and wanting to eat all the food they trained her that when they brought out this black and white target then it was her turn to eat.
Here we are down on the Water Front. This is a great place for shops and restaurants. The Aquarium is also down here at the Water Front.

Can you guess what the main attraction is? This place was not very well mapped out. we actually thought we missed it but like everything in Africa if you keep going you will find. This animal house was only $2 to get in.

You would never be able to do this back home. Take note of the fence this dude could step out if he wanted to. What a great experience for us and the girls

This was the Parks main man and those two tubs behind him were full of turtles, frogs, spiders, snakes and other things that Hannah did not want to stick around and see. She sat close to the exit and she used it.

Ahh the ponies and Ostrich and many other animals all in the same area.

As we were making our way to the adult cheetah we had to pass by the cubs.  We were not allowed to pet these young guys as they told us Hannah was the perfect toy height for them and they would be jumping all over her, I thought to myself what ever. But as we walked by they followed her and jumped up onto the cage all the way to the adult cages.

So we got the sleeping adult. It was still pretty cool to pet a cheetah even if they are sleeping.
